We have worked with Spencer Coleman for many years and recently they asked us to update there branding. We were carful to keep the well known SCFA but re-imagined how each letter worked in relation to it's surrounding letters and the frame.
Using the two typefaces we were able to visualise the historic and contemporary aspects of the Galleries:
- Plantin - It's roots set a sense of gravity and authenticity.
- Brandon Grotesque - The small x-height and the restrained forms lend it a distinctive elegance along with it's geometric forms that have been optically corrected for greater legibility.
